Jason's graduation at Middlebury

Buddha gazed up at the bo tree.
"I must have fallen asleep," he said as he sat up and stretched from his morning meditation. The evening sun on his legs confirmed it. He was new to meditation, and found falling into sleep to be a very frustrating snag along his path to enlightenment.
He reached for his rice bowl as it was now late enough for the day's single grain. Buddha suspected the diet may be affecting his meditative concentration. "I can't wait to lose this princely belly! I am tired of eating like a starving mouse." His hand found his bowl filled with a steaming clear broth. He gasped.
"You slept nearly a week," said a bull elephant from behind him.
"What?"
"Fever."
"Oh. Where's my rice?"
"The mouse ate it yesterday, I think. She's sleeping now; asked that I look after you."
